    Hello everyone,

    Sorry for the bother.

I am looking to purchase Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1989 Classic Arcade and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-shelled for the Xbox 360 on X-Box live arcade.

This sounds odd and confusing if you think about it. These games were on the marketplace, but were taken off a couple of years and unless you bought them before are unobtainable.

But I found that amazon and/or possibly other websites once sold these games as downloadable codes which could be given to other people. They don't sell the codes anymore, if they did I would buy them.

I was hopping I could find someone who wouldn't mind selling a download code for each of these games for X-Box live? Maybe someone bought a extra one. This chance is very slim, but I figured I would ask.

Another idea which I thought of is, if possible I would be up for buying a X-box live account that has these games in its download history which would then allow me to own them.

Those are the only 2 ideas that I could think of, but if anyone else has another idea of how this can be done, please either reply here or PM me. I would really appreciate it.

I know I don't really need to get these games on my X-box, because I could easily play these games on a computer through a emulator or a soft-modded X-box or the original game carts for the original systems. But I like achievements and I came to realize that I really want to do this.

I am open to discussion when it comes to prices. Please either PM me or reply in this thread if you are interested. Also please let me know in whatever way you communicate, if PMing or replying is more convenient for you?

Also I live in the U.S., sorry about not mentioning that.

    Thanks for listening.

    Hello gladiator5,

Sorry, it's hard to explain. Let me try again.

I am talking about the 2 (different) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video games that were released as Arcade games on the X-Box 360, as X-Box live arcade games specifically.

These games are Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled.

Here are some links to hopefully help you and everyone understand.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teenage_Mutant_Ninja_Turtles_(arcade_game). This game is based off the original arcade game from 1989.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teenage_Mutant_Ninja_Turtles:_Turtles_in_Time_Re-Shelled. This game is a enhanced remake of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time.

You will need to scroll down a little, but it will say that both of these games were released on X-Box live arcade. But both of them were taken off the X-Box live marketplace on June 2011 due to a expired license.

So to answer your question, no. If you did try to look for these games on the X-Box live marketplace, they wouldn't be there.

So at the present time there is no way to purchase or get these games. But what I learned is, certain websites like amazon and possibly other websites sold these games as downloadable codes.

If you have ever bought Microsoft points or membership for X-Box live on amazon for example, once you pay for points or membership, they will send you a downloadable code which you use to redeem/get the content.

If you have ever pre-ordered a game that came with a pre-order bonus, once the game comes out they will send you a downloadable code which then gets you the content.

This is the same idea, amazon at one time sold downloadable codes for these Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games and after you bought the game you would put the code into your account and redeem/get the Turtles games.

But amazon can not sell these codes anymore because of the licensing issue. So no way to get the games. But the downloadable codes for these games still work because each code is tied to one copy of the game and X-Box live still recognizes them. So if someone bought the games and got the codes, but never used them, they would work as long as they were not redeemed.

But I wanted to ask if anyone happened to buy these games through downloadable codes and didn't use them? If so, I would like to buy them if I could. The only other way to get these games would be to have already purchased them and if you delete them off your hard drive, through your download history you can always re-download them.

If someone has bought them on a X-Box live account and I get ahold of the account I would then be able to download and play the games.

So if anyone has a account which has those games and wouldn't mind selling the account, I would really appreciate it.

I hope that made sense Gladiator5? Please let me know if there are any other questions or if I need to clarify anything?

    Thanks for listening.

If you have a xdk/jtag/rgh I could help you, the problem is that you won't get the games on a legitimate way now. At least chances are more than slim.

    Hello G0dLiKe,

Thanks for the response. Sorry, I don't know what xdk/jtag/rgh means? Could you elaborate?

Sorry for the trouble and thanks for listening.

Just my opinion, but the originals work perfectly in MAME, and I wasn't all that happy with the redesigns. It is a shame about the availability, but that's the problem with licenses.

If you have a dev kit or a modded console which disables security (JTAG/RGH) you can run any XBLA trial as a full version. In short, if you can't buy it, he's saying the only other option is to go without or pirate it. Which is blunt, but true.

You are correct as far as legitimately purchasing and playing the games however.

    1) Any code created and sold before a game was pulled from sale is still valid and can be redeemed.
    2) Any account which "owns" the game can still re-download it.

If you can acquire a code, you can add it to your account without issue.

If you purchase an account from someone it's a bit riskier as you'll need to ensure you get all of the security information (so they can't claim it was stolen and get it back). You'll also need to do a license transfer after you get it, if you want to play with your main gamertag and get achievements.

If you do go the JTAG/RGH route, you'll be able to play the game, but you shouldn't use your main tag. Any gamertag that's used on a JTAG/RGH console is at risk of being banned from XBL so achievements would be right out.

If you think you could get your fix with just a demo, Digiex.net has almost all of the XBLA trials archived. You can download a trial and copy it to a memory unit for use on a retail 360. Since the Digiex archive is just the retail trial as downloaded from XBL, it will work in trial mode on any retail system. You won't be able to get achievements and you won't actually get to purchase the game (it'll generate an error if you try), but you can play on your regular system without any worry of being banned.

And who knows, maybe playing the first level of each game is all you need. :)

    Hello everyone,

Thank you for all the responses. I understand that it makes no sense to do this, but I would still like to try and do it. Also I would rather not soft-mod my X-Box. Sorry.

If possible I would still like to get a copy of the games which is still crazy, but I would still like to try.

So if anyone has a code and/or a X-Box live account that has the games and is interested in selling it, please let me know.

Thank you all for the responses and sorry for the trouble.

    Thanks for listening.

I know my account still has access to at least the 1989 version but I'm not terribly interested in selling it. Now if there was a way to transfer the license for TMNT 1989 I wouldn't say no to that.

    Hello everyone,

I am still looking for both TMNT games and would be happy to buy them. I would be happy to buy a account that has access to both and/or either games.

Or I would be happy to pay to be allowed to use license transfer to get only the said games onto my X-Box. If you do agree to this, I would give you my account info in exchange until the download is over.

I would really appreciate this and I promise I am not trying to be bad or anything. I want to get these games legitimately, that's all. No tricks or trouble for you, I swear.

    Thanks for listening.

While your solution is technically feasible, it requires a tremendous amount of trust. Plus, it's pretty much all or nothing.

Were APE to do as you ask, you would have full access to his account and all of his purchased download games (not to mention any money on the account).

So if someone were going to sell the account (or do a license transfer) they would probably want to be paid for the entire thing. It's doubtful you would find someone with *just* the games you want on an account.

This is probably why you don't have much in the way of interest. To be fair, there's a good chance that most long time players (those who are likely to have the games on their accounts) have XBL accounts that are worth more than an Xbox system itself. So think about that in the reverse.

Would you be willing to send your Xbox to someone so that they could license transfer the games to you and then send the Xbox back? That's the kind of risk you're asking others to take.

    Hello hl718,

    Sorry for the bother.

You are correct about everything. This is the last method I would turn to. I would much prefer to either simply buy the account or find someone who has a redeem code for the games if they bought such games from amazon or something and didn't use the codes.

And ya I would be hesitant to give my account and/or X-Box info to another person in this situation as well. You are right, about the account being more valuable than the console, I do understand that. I am not going to ask anyone to do this if they have reservations. It's not a problem. I wish I didn't even have to do this, put up this listing.

My original plan was to see if I could either get redeem codes or buy a account from someone else. Much fairer and safer ideas. Those are the only types of methods which I can think of legitimately. If you or anyone else has any suggestions which don't involve me soft-modding or hard-modding my X-Box, please let me know.

Sorry for the trouble, I won't try to play this out further. If anyone has any suggestions or interest in selling this, please PM me. Otherwise, I won't bother others further.

Thanks for listening and sorry for the trouble.

I don't think anyone here considers the request "trouble" or a "bother." We all ask for difficult to obtain items from time to time. That's what this forum is here for. :)

I simply posted to let you know why it is likely that you haven't yet found a taker. Unfortunately, it is *extremely* unlikely that you'll find an unused code at this point.

My suggestion would be to keep bumping every so often as well as post your location. For a limited transaction of the type you're wanting to do, a meeting would certainly be easier.

Alternatively, you might want to consider posting what games you have on your account. Perhaps there is someone who might be interested in a trade.

Ultimately though, it may end up with you having to physically send your system to someone in order to do the license transfer.

Not trying to be a downer, just trying to put a little perspective on the situation. If it were as easy as simply tagging a single game or two for transfer/resale, I'm sure you would have already gotten a taker.

    Hello everyone,

Thanks for the response and ideas, hl718. I appreciate it. I will put up what you said. Thank you and sorry.

Also thanks Nobody for the links to the trials. I really want the full game, but thank you.

As hl718 said, I would also be up for a trade to get the TMNT games. I could download something from my profile if that sounds alright to you? I have some games on demand, some arcade games or DLC.

Also, this seems like a long shot, but if anyone is interested in selling me the games in person, I live in Montana. So if you live in state or something, we could possibly meet up and do this. If someone is interested, I will send a PM with my city and phone number. I rather not put theses up on the Internet.

Otherwise, I think that is it. If anyone is interested please let me know through this thread or send me a PM.

Thank you everyone for the help and listening.
