Anyway don't respond as this is clearly a Phishing scam mail, I checked the item number first and it was not listed anymore and the link in the respond now button links to some weird domain (something like http://signin.ebay.com.697500.g3h8ajil82s7.comXXXXX/sc/saw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll/index.php?&ref=msgrunameruparamsruproducsidfavoritenavmigrateVisitor/index.html?r=2778 < added some XXXXX after the .com so nobody accidently clicks on it here) probably some dodgy signin/mail form page of the scammer to obtain your password. Just FYI so non of you accidently click on it thinking somebody is complaining about a game you sold or whatever!
Thanks for the heads up, although the mess-up of the formatting made it a little unclear: Question from seller Item: (697500343) This message was sent while the listing was Ended.Michael is a potential buyer.i will report you to eBay this licence is not valid. please reply asap or i will make a complaint Note that all the links lead to a phishing domain - so remember guys, always take the effort to go through the real eBay page rather than clicking links. On a side note: Firefox 2 picked up on the scamness immediately as soon as I followed the link - oh the wonders of technology.
I tried to fix the layout a little so the message becomes a little more clear, the thing that almost worked here was the message from the buyer: i will report you to eBay this licence is not valid. please reply asap or i will make a complaint As I usually sell & buy games or consoles on ebay this message pissed me off and the first reaction/thoughed I had was to respond to this person with a WTF are you talking about message.. but first I copy pasted the item number to see what's up and noticed something was wrong.. luckally I didn't respond too soon in a pissed off mood!
I'd be tempted to post: "Why certainly, if you are prepared to pay the additional carriage on the item I shall send your item to you...." then look up Anus Laptops scam and do a "one of them" on this a$sh#le
I don't really think this guy would care, they probably just want your password to abuse your account. Sadly enough the domain is registered anonymously (discreet) otherwise I would report him somehow.. allthough I did mail abuse @ ebay about it.
