Well I just got my first red circle of doom on my launch day 360. Locked up about fifteen minutes into playing. It did start up again after a short break but I'm not expecting things to miraculously get better from here on out. So... How much time do you guys suppose I have before it need to get shipped back?
do you have a intercooler connected to it? If so then make sure the plug is all the way in and that the cord isnt bent up to bad. I had that happen because of where my 360 is. Sometimes if I move the 360 to much while inserting a controller or something the cord gets stupid and I get the 3 red circles. So my advice would be check all connections and maybe clean the unit. I have gotten the 3 red rings twice now and both were due to the power cord and intercooler. Of course just removing the intercooler works to. :thumbsup:
Well atleast M$ will replace it for free. Not much else you can do really. Make sure to hang onto the harddisk when you send it in. Good luck. I was lucky in a way that I just was about to drive up to BestBuy and grab a brand new one.
