Apperantly, there are hidden games as well. I'm sure it will fit on a PS2 DVD, as with the PSP version. Granted, I wouldn't be surprised if they charged 30 or more for it. If they can get away with selling Gems for $30 at launch, then they can get away with selling this at 30 or 40. Still...Wide Screen portable Sonic and Golden Axe!
Virtua Fighter 2 for the Genesis though... bleh. It was ok, but nothing to write home about. Why on Earth do Sega feel flicky is worth so many appearances? Outrun and Afterburner, even in Megadrive form, would have been very nice.
I like the fact that there will be interviews. Though theres a good chance it will mostly consist of sti staff. I hope the emu they use is better then the one in sonic mega colltion+ they used for ps2, for some reason the ps2 emu was slightly glitchy compared ot the one made for gamecube.
Oddly enough, I feel stupid. Even if the name was Sega Genesis Collection, I thought VFII was the GOOD Virtua Figher 2. I didn't even realise there was one for the Genesis...Was it crappy?
That reminds me, I need to get rid of my original PS games (1-4) since I don't actually have a SMS or Genesis. I would love to know what the hidden games will be.
A hack of Genesis / MegaDrive Virtua Fighter 2 became the famous "Tekken vs Virtua Fighter". What a fun game that was.
Knowing Sega, that isn't a far off possibility. Granted, that would mean making a GG emulator for the PSP version as well.
Dangit, we get this crap..but where's North America's Phantasy Star Trilogy (Sega Ages: Phantasy Star Generation 1 & 2 remakes in English) on Playstation 2? That's never going to come out. =(
tj&e productions say sega wouldnt let them put toejam and earl on: Hi there. They actually planned to include it, then at the last minute Sega decided to pull it and put Sonic in instead. I'm not sure why. Sega is not too keen on ToeJam and Earl since the Xbox version didn't do well.
