    I believe san fransisco cause alot of game publishers are located there like sega themselves, though isnt capcoms U.S branch located in L.A.? New York I belive cause of population and stores each company has there.

    Capcom is actually located in Sunnyvale (right next to San Jose). There are a lot of game developers in the San Fran/San Jose area, as well as magazine publishers. So San Fran makes a logical choice.
