BTW, I'm the highest bidder. My first ebay buy was the M2 and my second buy is M2 software :smt040

And Assembler, if you decide to pull down the auction just tell me what you want to get from them and we'll haggle to a fair price. How bout it?

WTF. It says the maximum bid is $14. I put that in but then it tells me I've been outbid and that I have to put in at least $15. If i go back to the auction page, the bid is still at $13.5. What's going on?? I'm still new to this ebay thing.

Well that sux. Turns out someone has a "Bid bot" where it "Knows" how much you bid and then bids some more so that you don't have the highest bid. Is that legal??

Ahhh ok I understand now. That sux that ebay has that. If it still doesn't get as high as assembler wants it, I'll offer $100 for it then. I'm just not going to put in $100 for bid and then be outbidded.

It's actually against eBay rules to offer money for an eBay item outside of eBay. As there is no reserve Assembler is under an obligation to mail it to the winning bidder just as the winning bidder is under an obligation to pay.

Imagine you won the most amazing game prototype in the world on eBay for $1 however the seller turns round and says 'sorry fella I sold it for $1000 on a BBS - hard luck' then you will be a bit pissed? I won a few hundred £££ of travan gear dirt cheap on eBay - seller took pics of it all and everything however as I was the only bidder and it was for a very low price the seller turned round and said 'erm...sorry - it's out of stock'. Hmm ... how the f*** can this be if they took pic sof the stock for sale? BS for sure.

eBay have these rules in place to protect both the buyer and the seler - you will have a winning $100 bid if you wanted to pay $100 for them :butthead:

I didn't mean to get you mad or anything like that. Its just that he paid $100 for them.

Anyway, I'll do the right thing and just keep on bidding.
