Oh christ, tell me about it. Or previewing a video/audio track in Adobe Premiere. Or compiling an animation in armatic. Or... Compared to the 10 seconds it takes my PC. I'll stick to windows then, thanks. PearPC wouldn't work as it's been coded for x86.
System spec were 450mhz g4 with 512 mb ram, donno what they have it start up with but god its a snail.
Suffering the shortcomings of every microsoft product, it promises.. but always fails to deliver (on a daily basis) X-D out of memory..............................
I've been using some higher spec macs recently on OSX and they're ok, I guess. Not so many critical moment crashes. Still a nasty interface IMO. And by the way it's kind of considered bad taste to bring dead threads back to life.
We've really got to have a talk about bringing back topics that have been dormant for months... :smt043
That reminds of when Google first started their 21-year archive of newsgroups, and in one group (just to be silly, of course) someone tried to reply to the first post with "I agree"
Well, sometimes there would be good reason to bring back an old thread - updated information, error correction, etc. Maybe there should just be a rule that if you bring it back, you sure as hell had better have something interesting to say? OT: Holy crap Anti, you've broken 2K posts!
I haven't seen any relevant information with these old threads. The person bumping the threads is basically saying "Oh, how cool is that". It's getting on my nerves, but then again, I don't see him doing anything really wrong.
