Anyone stoked for this? I LOVED the original. Played it much more than GTA III back in the day. The sequel is coming out. I nabbed the demo on PSN, (I assume it's on XBL as well) and had a good time playing through it. Maybe I'm just pseudo-nostalgic in a way. I can see people finding it to be an average GTA-ripoff, certainly. I just love the time period, the way the old cars handle (in Mafia, it was WAY back so everything was super slow and lunky), following actual street laws (not speeding, stop lights, etc). All that jazz. Then again I'm the guy that played Midtown Madness when before I could drive legally and drove the bus around town like I was driving a real bus. I never played the Godfather games, I assumed they were similar? Can someone compare them legitimately? Eh?
I kind of passed on the first one, but after playing the demo for the second one on the 360, I definitely want it. As far as comparing it to the Godfather games, I only played the second one and it was horrible. This will be a gem in comparison.
I loved the story of the first part. gameplay wasn't perfect, but story and ambience are excellent. I love the ending of the game. It's the perfect end for a mafia movie ..er.. game. I hope the story of the second part is at least as good.
