I am an experienced and well established seller. I have sold hundreds of vintage video games systems and accesories that have been shipped all over the world ( safely). I also sell toys and other stuff when Im low on vintage game inventory. Even if you arent interested in buying this item...I thought some of you might like to check it out...it really is a unique hard to find item.

I’m sensing that retro will probably be posting on this thread soon.

I went to walmart the other day, and some of the Samsung Flatscreen TVs have built in several-in-one famiclones.

About the Oddyssey TV, wasn't there a marketing issue with the first Oddyssey system, that nobody would buy it because they thought you HAD to have a Magnavox TV to be able to play it?

Walmart has a dvd player from polaroid with a famicom built into it you can buy in the us.

I was pretty shocked to see it.

Odyssey built in to Magnavox TV

    Xerdo,
Yes there was a thing that people thought they had to have a Magnavox Tv to play those games. I have read about that. I found an ad in an old magazine where this tv/game system was offered as a prize in a contest. I scanned the ad and put it in the auction, just for nostalgia. If the winning bidder wants the mag too just for the ad Ill be glad to send it to them, I have no use for the magazine..just like looking at old ads.

I saw two models of Famicom portable DVD players over at Target for like $300, which is not bad when getting a portable DVD player.

Came with a disc with 300 games, allthough it would be nice to know if you could burn more.

Chances are you can't, the 300 are probably the 200 "mapperless" games with 100 duplicates.

    Kotsos imitating retro....

shortcake007 let me welcome you to the board. I would like to remind you to go to the off topic site and introduce yourself to the other members. Follow the example of the other posts. Although you are a new member I see that you are a reputable seller on Ebay. While it is ok by all means to post your sales here, ebay sales are posted under a special topic post. Also I would encourage you to get involved in the discussions of the forum and get familiar with the other members. I encourage new members to get involved in our forums and avoid using the forum just to post their sales.

Good find by the way...I will be watching the auction.

    Kotsos imitating retro....retro no offence.

Sure, all Famiclones with "multicarts" built in have "memory mapper" (dumb name) hardware of their own to select which game you choose. I've never ever seen one that supports a "mapper" other than CNROM though which is the first mapper present in most games until 1987.
