Someone just charged things to my PSN account and it certainly was not me.. Apparently the only way to dispute it through paypal is to mail in a printed and signed affadavit! WTF?!?! This is the elctronic age and I have to go buy ink and take my printer off of the shelf so I can print and sign a piece of paper buy stamps and then SEN it via SNAIL MAIL.. by this time the charges will have gone through. Fuck you paypal!
Shouldn't paypal be at least able to put the account under suspision and suspend the payments that were sent? I kind of get why the signed paper but I don't get why they wont lock the account down till they get the paper. I hope you get things sorted out. Something I really hate with some companies online is you can easily sign up online for a service with your credit card, Yet to cancel the service you have to call someone and give your credit card info over the phone. WHY THE FUCK Can't I just safely cancel online. Specially when there are many cases of credit card fraud coming from people who work at call centers. =|
Yeah I understand needing a signed piece of paper. But come on the charges haven't even gone through yet and it's nearly 1AM here. I should be able to dispute it and have the account and the charges held under suspicion before they recieve the paperwork in what... Mondays mail at the earliest!! I've had this happen witha a real credit card company and there is an 800 number to call 24 hours a day. This is a serious matter that shouldn't be left up in the air for a few days while you wait on the mail service.
Umm... :noooo: 1) he was account sharing or someone got the pw to his account. 2) He had a paypal credit card link to his PSN. This issue would be the same if he linked a paypal credit card to his XBL account. The fault is paypal, not PSN.
Yeah it's not PSN that is at fault.. Although I swear I requested that my info not be stored, but I could be wrong. It seams that I forgot to delete my info from a PSP that I sold. That coupled with not knowing that my credit card info was stored and linked to the account spelled trouble. I was able to contact the person in question and they have reimbursed me for the trouble. I'm just glad that this all workedout alright. Things could have been much worse and Paypal didn't give a shit about helping me out.
Round of applause for the buyer of your PSP. Culd of bought a tonne of shit and not cared. But not only did he admit responsibility but also reimbursed you whereas others would have just ignored you
