To be honest, i have a lot of respect for them after they brought out Psychonauts, but then there was the whole Advent Rising fiasco, then they dropped the ball on Raizes Hell. I thought they would pull out of their budget title syndrome into the top dollar market, but they were never able to put the required polish on their games to warrant the $50 price tag.
Does that mean they won't be selling consoles (like the Genesis 3 and Majesco Game Gear) or that they won't be selling games FOR consoles? ...word is bondage...
they are re-focusing on the handheld market, and budget line games. So they'll still do the TV arcades, but after the few games they have finished up for the console, they will not release any games for any console system.
This is a bad thing. They did manage to bring out some quirky and abandoned games that would have otherwise been left unreleased. Personally, I thought Psychonauts was waaay overrated, but it was nice to see Majesco step in and release it after it was dropped.
This is a sad thing. They should have brought psyconaughts to the psp. Anyways they were great for bringing us guilty gear at budget price. I wonder what they will do with their console licenses like bloodrayne. Hopefuly give it off to a good publisher (could fit with activision).
CURSE YOU AND YOUR RHYMING SHENANIGANS! That aside, if anyone does not truely grasp the significance of Majesco, I submit to you two names: Nanostray and Psychonauts. Feel the weight of greatness as they roll off of your tongue. Take these names and cherish them, love them as if they were your own. And go find a copy of the games while you're at it.
Notice Assembler hasn't been here for a few hours? Most likely, because they're still in business, they'll keep it around. Most companies still have all of their old Saturn and PSX stuff locked up, even tho it's not in active use. I doubt they would auction it, but i guess if they were in enough trouble they could. And yes, an auction would be legal, as long as they sold it to other companies that were liscensed and got aproval from the manufacturer.
