(It's at the top left) Does anyone have one of these? When and where did they come out? How much are they worth and is there anywhere that it is being sold? I've been a Zelda fan since the mid 90's (I suck) and I've never heard of this thing!
I've seen these going on EbayUK a few times, I can't remember 100% but I'm sure the auction mentioned something about it being an Australian release.
I recall them making a big deal out of having gold carts for the first run (US) but afaik they never made grey carts OR non-holographic labels, at least for the US.
Ahhh, yes. I have seen this a few times on the Internet (in other peoples collections I believe... could've even been on ASSEMbler). I will do some searching around for them and see if I can get some more info on it.
A friend of mine has the Majora's Mask box set, he recieved it as a gift while he was providing services for the local Nintendo office, if I remember correctly. Don't remember how many of them there are. I asked him about it, but since he doesn't have it infront of him now, he wasn't sure wether it was 10 000 or 1000. I'm pretty sure it's at the low end (1000) which sounds correct. Anyway, he said he'd try to keep it in mind and come back to me on it later as soon as he's had a chance to check it for me. (If he remembers)
it's a european only release, limited to 1000 pcs contents: 1 poster 1 MM wristwatch 2 pins 1 MM T-Shirt 1 OST MM 1 Pal Version Majora's Mask 1 certificate of authencity (?) with number often reaches 300$+ a sealed version left ebay 2 years ago for 580$ iirc
I worked at a game store for a while, I saw a few US Majora's Masks without holographic covers, but still gold cartridges. I remember because the first time I saw one I thought it was Ocarina with a label variant, but turned out it was MM. I saw a few more too, but never with a box so I don't know if there was anything different about the box.
Yes, MM was released with both the holographic cover and non-holographic. However, a grey cartrige wasn't released in North America as far as I know. Also, thanks for the information everyone. It looks like this thing is gonna be a bitch to find...
It's my picture (so the picture is available at assembler.com in "your collection" ), so last informations are good , it's for european market , never available for sell , limited at 1000 pieces, for the 2 others: The minish pack is limited at 300 and the oracle around 500 according to Nintendo Germany (i'm not really sure , it's seem to have more ) but this last one is not numeroted like 2 others so it's difficult to know how many they are. I finaly found all 3 pack sealed . For us MM , there is 2 different label , both in gold , holographic is for the collector edition , non holographic for "normal" edition , this last one is rarer than the collector one , the box is similar , just have collector edition written on it
I was under the impression that that Majora's Mask box set was given away in Europe to winners of a contest.
yes (for the majora and the oracle) some of them are for a contest , some for webmaster of zelda website . The minsih are only from club nintendo , i know that some oracle in spain where given from club nintendo as well but later than other oracle (in 2005 or 2006 don't remember) i suppose that england distributor's receive some oracle set too as i know some uk ebay seller's have 6+ of them.
