Yea so i scored a dev of this guy for 500 but i cant test it to see if it works, because he shipped it with a retail psu, came in a box that says eb games used xbox.... so im assuming that's where he got it, it appears to have been opend in the back... but anyway , i need to make a psu

can any1 point me in the direction to a guide to make one with an atx psu?

ah and heres a sweeet pic i took of it

Nope those are kits right out of the box.

Not opus by the way, don't be fooled by the new heatsink and some other things that can throw you off, they're Xenon's.

Trust me, I know the main source, two dealers for the source and two dealers for them, and the source doesn't have many left.

He also didn't get them from EB Games. Assuming he's one of the cheap ass dealers of it, he'll sell you one legitimately, and eventually start scamming. Also being a cheap ass, he would send it in an EB Games box, and not the box the kit comes in.

Also, PM sent. You're welcome. And you got what you payed for I guess. Once you read your PM you'll know why it was for that money. That + it's a Xenon.

Try removing the sidecar to play around with for now, otherwise I can't help you.

Ditto that. Your best bet is to pull the sidecar to test with a retail PSU.

If anyone ever makes a big information resource/guide to the general use/welfare of an xedk, I think this'd be a great thing to include. Getting ahold of dev PSU's to power the sidecar always appears to be a problem :|

Cool to hear you got it working ;)

Yeah, and why does it seem that everyone who sells one of these always seem to be missing the Sidecar. You're lucky that you have one...

excuse my somewhat noob-ish reply to you Checksum:

Yeh I agree with you on the sidecar, but if you think of it, it's not really a must. The fact that you can just use a 20GB harddrive and pay like 50$ to get a 2.5" western digital drive and stick it in there does suffice. However the sidecars do look damn nice. Usually sellers that I know haven't been wanting to sell a dev with a sidecar if it's an xenon, usually if it's like a jasper or zephyr they're more willing to (or opus); hence why Tyler's lucky he scored one like this. With such a cheap price he musta been scammed (like Xenon.7 said)..

No where did I say he got scammed.

He just got what he payed for.. And I wouldn't recommend dealing with the guy again because of multiple circumstances that shouldn't be spoken of here.

Ok sorry about that. It was kinda a shitty comment I made to be honest cause I made it seem as if I knew multiple sellers. I only know one haha, but I was biasing it off of that one seller.
