I like his approach here... this is one of things I'd love ot tackle but till my daughter is old enough to help me out won't have time... :smt022

are those x arcade good? i've been wanting one... can you connect it to a neo geo aes ? because the neo geo stick is horrible... i mean... that ball is just like... not good....
Here are two Pics of My Mame Cabinet! Started out life as plain old Jamma cabinet (Had Eswat in when bought). Was basically a wreck that had been abandoned in a horrible grotty warehouse, but still worked! Did the conversion in a way where is easily fully reversible! The cabinet is powered by a nice nifty fast Laptop which sits ontop (can be seen opened on last pic!)
I have a X arcade and its good. Good enough for me. But the harcore 2d fighter guys like to buy the x arcade controllers and swap out the buttons and joystick for happ competition components.
Depends on how you define good. I don't like X-Arcades, they're primarily for new consoles and PCs and while they're functional, I find them gynormous and ugly. If you want to play MAME with a joystick they're decent but hardcore hardcore fans will build their own units with better than Happ controls and competition buttons.
Heh, did that with a PS2 Pelican RealArcade stick - size and feel of real arcade controls, 1/3 the price of an X-Arcade. I love it.
I love my xarcade sticks. http://interlaced.cc/reviews/x-arcade/ there's a little review I did a while ago.
