Sorry if this isnt permitted, please remove it. I just have a general question pertaining to mame. Im using Mame 32FX or Mame UIFX as its called now I think. Its got a very nice interface with tabs for cab pics, title pics, pcb pics and all kinds of stuff you can set up for each game you have. I remember being able to take my own screenshots a while back and just rename them for this purpose but now when I run the rom and hit print screen and try to paste it into paint I get nothing but black? Anyone have any ideas on what might be the problem or how I can make screenshots of my games?
I'm not sure if I got the question correctly, but usually you have to determine a button for screenshots, i.e. crtl right. When you press it, the programm saves the screenshot in the respective folder in the MAME program path.
But like what I mean is I need to capture screen shots of the game while im playing it. Like I run the rom and im actually playing the game, what button do I press to make a screen capture of what I see at that second. Normally I would just press "prnt screen" then open Paint and Paste it and save it. But when I try to do that with mame all I get when I paste is a jet black screen insted of the image I wanted to capture?
UPDATE!: Nevermind lol. I got it working. Turns out F12 is how to do it and its set up in the emulator that way by defauly It wasent working for me cause I have a F-Lock on my keyboard and for some reason it was turned off. Silly me lol
If you want another key, hit TAB in game, and go to "Input (General)" and set it to something good... and pray it's not used for something else.
