I've been away from my email for like a week, and I already have people going "ITS BEEN TWO WEEKS WHERE IS MY ITEM?!?" and one paypal dispute. Jeeze, if you are going to order near Christmas, at least read the part where I said I would be away for a week around the time the auctions ended. Not to mention many people didn't even pay until about a week ago. Then again, I did ship sort of late and didn't get a chance to send a email to everyone like I usually do. Guess I should try to do that more often.
In the past I used to be too relaxt about it, until I burned my fingers on bogus sellers too much. Many sellers are scum, they make stuff look better then it is, just sell half broken stuff while saying it worked perfectly before sending it and take ages shipping it without letting you know what's up. So I am sorry to say when I am a buyer, I have a zero tolerance policy nowadays, so don't take that stuff too serious or personal it's just people taking care of their own ass.
Nah, I understand that, since I am a regular buyer as well. Its just when people start to get mad about it and not do it in a calm manner that it gets on my nerves. I just think its sort of crappy to do a paypal complaint when it has only been 2 weeks and he only sent a email a day ago.
I understand were you are coming from, as I sell my share of stuff too.. But as I don't cut any slack to sellers myself I maintain the same policy to when selling: so anybody flaming me or complaining I handle with care as I know the position I am in (it's just part of the game) But you are right that people should at least chill out a bit and give you some reasonable time to get your shit together especially during the holidays!
People tend to skim over the details. Next time put it in big lettering that you'll be unable to ship for a time due to being away
Call me silly but wouldn't it have been better not to have auctions ending when you know you were going to be away?
