While I am waiting for my IS-Nitro-Capture to arrive from Japan (Thanks DeChief!) I was wondering if anyone has a copy of the books, manuals, etc for the unit?

I have a set of cables for it waiting, and would like to read up on the device so I know how to use it properly and setup all the switches etc.

I don't have any paperwork for it but I do know that it doesn't support RGB so you will have to use Composite video or S-Video SNES/N64/GameCube cables. No idea if it is possible to mod it for RGB but modding something like this may be a little risky.

Yeah I found out from Yakumo that it does not work with RGB out, but he said it works nicely from S-video, composite video when using the framemeister so that should be fine for AV connections.

One of the reasons I am looking for the manuals is that looking at pictures online it has dip switches on the rear of it above the USB port. I'm curious as to what those all do :)

I'm curious about those too. Wonder what they do.

You didn't copy it all, so heres the full explanation from the same post. And for the record I had been using the search function, but only to see if a copy of the manual was linked, not typed into a post considering they want a whole manual not just one part.

From the IS Nitro Capture Users Manual (Version 01/27/2005)

    Dip Switches
    1. Not used set to OFF
    2. Not used set to OFF
    3. Not used set to OFF
    4. When restoring the IS-Nitro FW, set this to ON. If you are not restoring the firmware, set this to OFF.
    5. Toggles between wired and wireless DS Wireless Communication. It is set to OFF for wired communication and ON for wireless communication. This switch can be used when you have purchased the wireless option.
    6. Usedto set the color of the outside of the LCD Screen, on images output by the AV Cable. Set to OFF for black and ON for gray.
    7. When set to ON, the DS Upper Screen and Lower Screen are output as a single image from AVOUT1. When set to OFF, the upper screen is output from AVOUT1
    8. When set to ON, the DS Upper Screen and Lower Screen are output as a single image from AVOUT2. When set to OFF, the upper screen is output from AVOUT2

I edited my post to delete the "spoiler" tag. Now you only have to click once to expand the quote. Makes it easier to read.

I can find a manual for the Nitro Emulator but not the capture. Mind sharing a link to the manual you copied the data from?

Unfortunately it was from a post in another thread from someone that owns the manual. User Denryu is your best guess. A guest of the forum posted the info that we copied to this thread.

@lwizardl I don't think there's much more to know about using the unit than the dip switch settings. Also I'm sure that other members who own it can help you if you run into any troubles.

Gotta love customs. Took forever to get my item from Germany into here. Still in the NY processing areas but soon it'll be here
