Now will it be a Mario minigame game or a Sonic minigame...game. Because Sonic has a poor track record (ahaha.....no) with his minigames.
Hudson is responcible for all the mario party mini games and IMO they are starting to get a little stale (specialy the bomberman land games). So either way its going to be a ok experience, unless nintendo internal who did wii sports does this.
if you go over at ign my friends, you ll see that supposively, Shigeru Miyamoto is in charge. Not that the premise of the title is anything that exciting, but I m sure the man wants to make sure that Sonic and Mario's first official debut isn't a let-down
Stupid concept. Sonic would beat Mario at every event (other than the egg & spoon race!) That's due to his speed and agility. Although I suppose Mario might beat him at the high jump if he had a leaf/cape.
I don't think so, big company's like Nintendo & Sega don't do pranks like this. Plus both parties have releases press releases!

1. This isn't an april fools joke. The IOC would be going after Nintendo and Sega respectively for misuse of their copyrights if it was. 2. There is no way in hell this is gonna be a serious sonic or mario game. This is simply gonna be a tie in with the IOC for the Olympics, not much else. BTW, I am still mad at the IOC for keeping Women's Boxing out of the olympics (Personal issue really). So I honestly don't give a rat's ass about the IOC.
It was more wishful thinking on my part that it was an April Fools! Doesn't mean the game won't still be a joke though >_<
A new NiGHTS game, a Mario & Sonic game and April Fool's is near... let me have my concerns about these titles.
Now that WOULD be horrible, unless they included lots of characters from the Sonic universe. I suspect they wouldn't want to encourage the Sonic Vs Mario type of sentiment beyond competitive sports though.
