The piece is unsigned so after I acquired the original artwork I had VGA slab it for me. It is the original hand created artwork used to create the ad. They did a Zelda piece for me as well. err Link rather.
I see "NG" on a lot of these graded items instead of actual numbers. What is the general value of that item in general?
NG = No Grade. This is the term VGA uses for all items that are slabbed only for authentification purposes. A prototype cartridge is given the same score. The score that usually goes in that space is based on item condition which doesn't matter in these cases.
Glad you enjoy seeing them. Truth be told there was a reason that I had these slabbed at VGA. Several years ago there was a potential sale that didn't happen. The potential buyer was a big believer in VGA. Here is the Link (Zelda) piece. He is from an Apple Jacks box.
Several years ago I took a major path change. Sold many valuable things including a gold NWC to buy the items that I enjoyed the most. Many people might think that was a mistake with the way prices have gone up on vintage video game items but I don't care. Owning the original one of a kind artwork brings me more enjoyment. If you like the Kellogs piece you might like this one even more. It is the artwork from the Nintendo Power 52 cover.
Now that is a quality piece of art! Lovely. That Link art scares me, is that from the animated series?
Hmmmm. Not sure, here he is from the CDI game: [GALLERY=media, 1322]Image by dyer60 posted Aug 12, 2016 at 10:34 PM[/GALLERY] Could just be that period between 2 and 3 as you said. Either way not my favourite image.....
