Not disagreeing there, but this was done just to test out Mario's movement. The guy who did this is actually making his own remake of Super Mario 64.
I'm not sure about Aryoksini's (who made the video here), but I know the other one (the Blender one) was removed.
The one made in Unity was removed. Blender is a modeling program, only. This video is cool to me mainly due to the seemingly perfect recreation of SM64 Mario's movement. Not that recreating something like that would be too hard, but it looks 1/1 identical. The UE4 sample environments are a let down, though. I would have made a small demo level before I would have shown this. Still cool. Scary to see Mario with realistic lighting/shadows & grimey environments.
I'd like to see a serious horror adventure game staring a buff angry Italian guy who smokes cigars and walks around with a shot gun
Same. I still think SM64 is one of the greatest games ever made. It stands as my favorite game. Too bad anything beyond what we've seen won't come about.
The amount of weird shit Blender does, you're best to save your heartache and get a subscription with Autodesk. Blender maybe easy to learn, and which it really is. However it does really weird things to your models once you smooth it out..
Interesting to know that, never knew they expanded beyond modeling only. Still, I believe he was referring to the Unity Mario that got the C&D.
You can play the demo by yourself, link from the creator: http://www.file-upload.net/download-10735774/Super-Mario-Flex.rar.html
All fine and dandy but if it doesn't end up being a completed full game then it just teases us. Would be fantastic if it was ever finished and available to play fully.
