Have you been dying to show off your latest and greatest Mario Paint work to the world? Well die no further! Show off your SNES art here! (Photoshop is the past, SNES is the future.)
Well done. On a mostly related note have you seen people recreate songs on this game? I mention them because I have no art talent to brag about lol.
Speaking of the music, there was this contest I entered (wow, over a decade ago): http://www.zophar.net/mariopaint/ Some were "covers". Some were originals.
I don't think I could ever have the patience to make something that intricate. So much going on there. Looks great, though. Good work. I've never actually played Mario Paint.
That's just a template that he coloured and added stamps to. He didn't actually draw that image.. in case you thought otherwise
On a side note, Mario Paint desperately needs a Wii U sequel. It's just perfect for the system. I honestly can't think of anything else that would utilize the GamePad so well. The Mic could even be used to make samples for the composer.
I like that idea a lot. The Wii U pad would indeed be perfect for that. Unfortunately I don't think we'll see a sequel anytime soon. Hopefully I'm wrong, because I think that's a pretty cool concept. I know I would give it a shot.
That's true enough. They'll probably be playing it safe for a little while. They'd rather invest in rooted concepts. Don't want to lose the momentum from both MK8 and E3. But after we get SSB and Star Fox I'd be pretty interested in another Mario Paint.
Is it sad that when I opened this thread I immediately started humming the main tune? Mario Paint was so sick. I need another SNES mouse that works better! If your serious about drawing stuff with it, unlock it's hidden (& useful) right-click features first! http://tcrf.net/Mario_Paint
Well they have the art academy drawing tool on their, if they added a mario paint they would compete against themselves. Also Mario Maker is the spiritual sequel to Mario Paint.
I have Mario Paint, and I have the SNES mouse too. I got Mario Paint for 50 cents and the mouse for $1. Pretty good deal, I think. A few times, when I tried to play/use it, it locked up and wouldn't respond.
Mario Maker is a platformer with a built in map editor. The real spiritual sequels are the Mario Artist colleciton on 64DD.
I tend to think of the 8-bit tune that plays when you click one of the letters on the main screen randomly throughout the day. Your mouse could just be really dirty... Trackballs tend to collect a lot of dirt from surfaces and it collects on the X/Y rollers. If you pop the trackball out, you can usually a see a film of dirt and grime that collects at the edges of the rollers. It comes off very easily with a toothpick. What?! I never knew about that. You truly learn something new everyday.
