I need to establish a reliable, but inexpensive courier shipment to the US from UK. As I don't have a business account with any of the leading firms, it surprisingly looks like Royal Mail / Parcelforce are actually one of the cheapest courier companies around.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for courier companies they've found reliable and relatively good value.

    Weight: 5.1Kg
    Dimensions: 44x34x12
    Contents: Er, electrical test equipment

Cheapest reliable insured service with tracking facility is roughly £65.00.

    Anything better out there?

Just been sent details of Parcel2go.com, and solution found I think!

    http://www.parcel2go.com

They returned a whopping £42.55, however that doesn't appear to include the additional insurance cover I requested.

Looks like a winner so far, and I ain't talking Michael Winner!

    Thanks Festerfly!

yeah, parcel2go are pretty good, they use either dhl or fedex for overseas shipping, i used them a few weeks ago to ship a large item to france and it was there in 2 days

Thanks for the reply, it's good to see hear someone who's used them. Do you pay / can you pay via PayPal? I just want to use my VISA card. I just flicked through and one of the questions was about my eBay name for some reason.

You should check them with dimensions as opposed to weight of unit, it works out cheaper than I expected. I've had things FROM Canada. Moose Post really are slow.

P.S. I posted a response regarding your B&W Apple G unit, it's in the eBay thread.
