So the PSX can play NTSC games and play on an NTSC TV? Or just a PAL TV with NTSC Games??

As long as the system works and the case looks good I'd say $50.

I'm pretty sure PAL PlayStation's don't generate a proper NTSC signal (rather, PAL60 if you don't use RGB) and vice versa... which isn't that much of a problem if you have a somewhat new (PAL) TV.

So if I were to buy it from ya, it wouldn't work on my NTSC TV? Is that what you're saying Anti?

The thing is, I'm not 100% sure, I'm sorry. I have once read about a way to succesfully modify a PAL PS to output "true" NTSC by bridging some pins on the inside, but I'm not sure. Or rather...

    *searches room for PSX mobo*

Ah, there's an CXA1645M IC that takes care of encoding the video from RGB to composite/S-video. A quick look at the datasheet...

Apparently the connection of pin 7 selects between PAL and NTSC. So basically, lifting pin 7 and connecting it to Vcc - which you can draw from pin 12 and 19 - (on my mobo there's a visible trace running to a hole in the board) should set the system to output "true" NTSC.
Shouldn't be a problem for a true modder like yourself ;-)

Boy, this makes me happy to have SCART RGB :-D

I'm using RGB cable with RGB->YUV transcoder. No complain but haven't seen RGB I can't comment whether PQ is the same or worse... looks mighty fine to me though
