    If you use an afterburner on a game gear and shut off that huge light it uses, it'll probably last hours longer.

    anyone care to try?

    Not too bad...

    It's only $50 to have them install an Afterburner into a NGPC you already own...
    I agree, the service+unit price of $120 is too much, I imported a brand new slimline NGPC for $35 (that's WITH shipping), paying $70 for a most-likely used US unit is inane.

    On the Game Gear thing:

    But the Game Gear doesn't use an active-matrix like the NGPC or GBA...
    Front-light technology is dependent upon the thin film transistor architecture, the LCD technology of the GG is BACK-lit...
