Mass Effect 2 PS3

So Mass Effect 2 was recently announced for the PS3 and from what I can make out its gonna include all the DLC that has been released so far and will be out January 2011.

Sad it doesn't have ME1 with it. Still I will probably snag this version if the port quality is up to snuff.

 

Hopefully it's a good port.

Anyway, i'm still amazed at the Killzone3 MP trailer. Killzone2 MP is tons of fun and the new stuff seem to make it more epic than ever.

 

Seems a bit of a misstep only porting ME2 - it seems to me to be a continuation of the story. It'd be like starting a movie trilogy by releasing the series on one format, then only releasing the last 2 on the competing one.

I suppose there's little that can be done - Microsoft own the publishing rights to the first Mass Effect, so there's not much Sony can do to change it.

 

They can resolve the story element with some kind of intro.

 

Well I had a look in to that and it turns out they are planning on a sort of intro to the Mass Effect universe as Taucias said in the post above. I guess it will be sort of like what Sega did with Shenmue 2 on xbox. Also as stated all the DLC and apparently more will be included with the PS3 version.
