Hello, all. I've looked through the couple other threads discussing transferring saves, but they didn't seem too clear and I'm not sure if the process is different for certain games.

So, how do I best go about transferring my Mass Effect dev kit save to my retail system?

    Thanks, all.

  2. The process would go the same just like it would for transferring saves from one retail box to another. Resign the save with your device/profile ID's with any resigner, put it in the proper location on your box, and it should work.

That is assuming that your dev build is the same as the retail released build.

It is quite possible that saves from an early build will NOT be compatible with the final build.

Make sure you resign using a dev kv.bin.

    Don't you mean retail?

He wants to go from Dev->Retail not the other way.

Yeah he just needs a retail kv. If you would like I could convert it for you?

Thanks a lot for all the replies, guys, and especially the offer and link. I've looked around a little bit and I'm definitely not too clear on exactly how to do it. I've got the dev kit content folder on my PC and have a transfer cable for the retail drive (I guess I should use Xplorer 360, but I've had some trouble getting that to work). Aside from that, I'm really not sure what's going on with all the directories in the content folder from my dev kit and how to find my Mass Effect save and how to resign for retail and where to put it in my retail drive. Like I said, I've looked a bit on Concept.3 and the resign process and watched a couple YouTube videos, but am still not sure. Is there a link to a step-by-step tutorial or anything?

    Two other quick questions:

If a kv gets banned does that just means it won't be able to further resign any new saves or that old saves already successfully resigned and transferred over won't work either?

And, am I risking a ban or anything by transferring over my Mass Effect achievements too? Will a banned kv ever come back to haunt me if I do this?

    Thanks again, all.

Too answer your question the easiest way to find the mass effect folder is to use xport 360 software, Not sure if that will connect to a dev hdd its been a long time since I owned an XeDK. What I can say is, guess and check. Thats the method to be done with xplorer360 software and its about the same if your browsing through folders. What you could do is one by one remove the save folders off your hdd and onto your pc and check your XeDK dash to see if mass effect is remaining. Once you have that folder zip it and upload it to rapidshare and link it here, i'll do the rest. As far as the achievements its a one time thing and I ran into a save I used one time as it unlocked all the achievements for me and I kind of got worried as well, come to find out MS doesn't take action unless its a chronic offense and the punishment is simply gamerscore reset.

Chances are it won't work with a dev hdd.

    1. There are some ways to find out the TitleID.
    This is one: http://360.kingla.com/

    2. Now you have to look in some folder like this @ xdk:

    \HDD\Content\0000000000000000\TitleID\00000001\current save

    3. Make some copy of the save.

    4. Put your retail HDD at the xdk and transfer with neighborhood (if you have)
some save or your profile to pc to get the profile- and deviceID. just load it
    in the resigner.

    5. Save the profileID/ deviceID at some txt.file or in resigner.

    6. Now you can resign your Dev MassEffectSave with retailresigner
and profileID/ deviceID from point 5.

    7. Just put the save at your retailHDD in the same folder like the xdk folder at point 2. You have no folder there? Just make it.
