Massive Sony WTB thread- boxes, rare and regular.

To complete a very small Sony collection, I am going to need the following. If you have any combination of them and are willing to sell, PM me and we can work things out. I'd prefer for boxed units (or units with boxes that aren't destroyed) but I'll take anything, especially for the rare-er units. Can't afford to be picky.

Nope. The PSX controller is Dual shock, and white.

 

Just out of curiosity: is it any different (phisically?) from the PSOne dual shock controller? Model #?

 

It is an SCPH-10010, just like the standard PS2 DualShock, but in white. It has nothing to do with the SCPH-1010 (first digital cotnroller), SCPH-1080 (later digital controller with longer cord and ferrite bead), SCPH-1200 (original DualShock) or SCPH-110 (PSOne DualShock) controllers.

 

By PSX he meant the Japan only PlayStation 2 DVR unit, whose official name is PSX. PSX as you meant was a "codename" for the original PlayStation project and before SONY released the PSX DVR unit what we used to call the PS1. After that most people dropped the PSX moniker and then "PS ONE" became popular.

 

Yes. This is true. The DTL-H500 was called the 'PS-X'. Hence, the prototype name.
It is so frustrating how Sony released the PSX DVR in 2003, and called it the PlayStation prototypes name.


The way I see it, is these are the codes:
PS/PS1 = PlayStation 1,
PSone = PSone.
PSX = Japanese DVR.


Oh, there was a 10 Millionth PS1 going on eBay AU a while ago. I think he wanted $400 for it.
Dont see the point in spending that much. Who cares. Just dip dye your PS1 any colour you want.
I have a failed one that turned purple. Was supposed to be black xD

 

The PSX controller is DESR-10, it is a normal ceramic white Dualshock 2 pad with a Playstation Controller end (not USB) but has 4m of cable. I did buy a couple of these new as I needed pads with a long length. The box is white with a PSX logo on them.

 

Are these still available ? Sounds great for lazybums like me lol.

 

Wow, but my controller is somehow white but still SCPH-10010. I bought it used, so perhaps it was just separately sold controller that just happens to be white.
