Strangely enough, that video doesn't look that much different to a typical visit to a Japanese arcade. A friend of mine visited from the UK and though he was good before a kid of about 14 played and made him look very very average... I don't think he played much after that.

Anyway Guitar Hero is just a basic copy of Konami's Guitar Freaks.

See freaks like that every week in the arcades. You'd be surprised at just how many girls are good at Pop'n Music.

Come to Glasgow and see people struggle to fit 20p into the slot, smirk at them as they stagger to the controls and laugh heartly as they topple sideways into the next door booth....

...focus now, focus.... THERE'S THE ALIEN FFS SHOOOOOTTTTTT!

That's the kind of player ability I witness here!

I am moving to Japan, if for no other reason than to have my children train as Uber-Console-Zealot-Robots-of-the-4000th Century and beyond!

The Japanese should re-think their current ideology about not having any military of their own. With reactions like that there wouldn't be anyone on the planet able to shoot them down! Just strap a user friendly arcade style console to the cockpit of an old Mig-20 and off they'd go, happily playing Beethoven's 5th across the battle ground. :eek:h:

that clip is an old classic clip. But when I play at the arcades, then it is because I know I suck at the games. But I am having a blast of fun, at the same time with it :)

The one arcade game that I couldn't master, no matter how much I spent on it was Gauntlet. My mates and I used to spend hours on that thing and I was always completely rubbish. My main thing tends to be driving games as that's less button bashing and more straight forward. That said, I once tried to play Sega Rally whilst in the pub. I didn't realise I had had so much to drink, but I couldn't steer for toffee! I was all over the place! Remember kids, don't drink and drive (or in my case, arcade!) :fresh:

Gauntlet Legends?? I almost bought a full sized cab a few months back, but it was just to tall to use. Don't remember ever beating it, but I've had a lot of fun with it.
