Hey everyone, I'm in the process of installing a Matrix 1.93 in my PS2 slim (V15 GH-052-12). I've checked all my connections, shortened my wires going to the BIOS, etc. and am getting nothing. It's not booting to either BIOS. It just hangs at a black screen. It's worth mentioning that I measured the voltage to the chip from the board and it's measuring 3.45v. Is that normal?

Was just wondering if someone could look over my soldering/install and let me know if anything stands out, or what I should be checking for. I'm getting close to the point where I'll uninstall the chip and make sure the console itself is still working, but I wanted to look into a bit further before doing so.

    I've been following this diagram:

Use your multimeter and check for bridges on the bios points. Also shorten your ground wire and ground it to the big gnd point on the usb port right below the modchip. Also shorten your power wire.

Done, and still no luck :/ I've gone over the points with a DMM, and there doesn't seem to be any bridging going on. Some of the wires looked dodgy in the pictures, so I double checked those and all seems to be fine.

Check again. I see some solder splash's around the bios points. Touch up each point and use some flux. Then clean the area with rubbing alcohol.

If that don't work, remove the modchip and see if it still boots. It could be a bad modchip as well.

+1 on checking BIOS points. Black screen is probably BIOS connections.

Might be worth it to remove it as you mention and get it running stock again first.
