Okay, I'm trying to enjoy this game and everytime I die at this one part, I get the option to reload level or quit game, so I reload level, BAM, crashes to desktop. When I beat this level and the next level is loading, it crashes. I've reinstalled the game, but it keeps wanting to crash to desktop randomly or when I want to go to the next level. I've installed the newest patch, but that didn't help. I know my system settings are not a problem either. Any idea what's going on?
You could have a problem with the installation disk. Replace it if you can and see if that fixes it. Sadly, that kind of problem can be anything from a background process screwing with the program (i.e. spyware, virus or antivirus), incompatible video card drivers, bad disk, or even just bad programming. Best bet might be to find the game's support forum if it exists.
Either that or try copying the game files to HDD, cracking it, and seeing if that works... it's a sad fact that copy protection often causes compatibility issues.
I never beat enter the matrix because the game kept crashing on the 8th level... shiny isn't exactly known for their stable code...
