    What's up with that:
States £1.00 international shipping then lower in the description it says
International Delivery - Ask for a price - IT DOES NOT COST £1.00!
    o_O

Video games have a locked shipping price of £3. And obviously international shipping costs more than that.. So I have to send an invoice.

Obviously not many people sell video games on eBay here! Strange.. ^_^

No such problem on my side of Ebay. Other UK based ebay game sellers do not seem to have this problem either.

Hes actually quite right about that.

I had trouble trying to sell a job lot of games as I could only put £3 max shipping, when the bundle of saturn games were over 2kg. Not sure if it applies internationally though, but certainly does within the UK.

That is silly. I have noticed different Ebay localisations can do things differently so maybee that this only happens for ebay.co.uk? I have never noticed such a phenomenon here in Ebay.Ca.

This being said I checked some UK based sellers and they sell games with the proper shipping amount so there must be a way around it. Maybe they just list on ebay.com? :p

I buy a heap from the UK, have always had correct post prices shown in the listing. So odd it's set like that (and I'm from Aus) as the international costs were always clearly shown.

When I list stuff on there, I am able to add my own postage option and not have to use the default eBay ones.

So what charity are you supporting? (seeing it's specifically for a charity, seems like a thread could be worthwhile).

That's only £1.24 shipping within the UK. As I said, don't know if the £3 limit applied with international postage (I would assume not).

Postage on ebay is set to different price brackets depending on the postage option you choose. E.g seccomd class could be capped at £3 but if you set the
option to courier the cap is lifted or set higher. This applies to most postage options one way or another. Tge product catagory also affects this, if your items set to a console catagory rather than games the postage options are also increased. International postage must be offered as a seccond option for it to appear on the listing. You can (as far as I know) offer as many diffetent postage options as youd like.

9Matt2 implied that it applied to international postage as this is what my first post in this thread was about.
Btw the seller on the link I provided asks £6.50 Economy Int'l Postage to ship to canada.

I only ship with tracking as I refuse for the charity to lose out on any money.

I actually use Economy Int'l Postage in ebay but then ship with whatever i like.
You should try it, maybe that will let you input the price you want.

Then in the description, just write that shipping is tracked. That would be much better than how you are currently doing it.
Somebody will just buy the thing then be angry when you tell them the shipping is not the 1£ listed.

Interesting. It does not seem to apply here in Canada. I just made a test and changed the shipping for a crap game I am selling to 1000$. I could save the auction no problem. The game was classified in the proper Video game category.

A good thing we do not have the same low caps as in USA considering we have one of the most expensive postal service in the world. Shipping a jewel case local is 5$ and if it is over 2cm thick ( aka double cd ) it goes up to 10$.

There must still be a way around it for you UK guys though.

To be fair, you didnt read the rules here. Also, you can put what ever you like in your description - but it wont fly with ebay, they will take the values you put on the item, not the description - as that too is against ebays rules.

I have people who bid on my stuff regularly and actually use their eyes instead of seeing something that looks to good to be true. If people don't like my description then they ask for a refund, if they won't pay up.. Then tough tits.. you're not having the item if you cannot read! ^_^

Point is, you threaten to report people (after 48 hours, which you cant do - buyers have 7 days to pay FYI). But if I pay you the listed amount and you refuse to ship it - it will be you who gets negative feedback and strikes against your account.

Only one unable to read or follow rules is you =/ You are just lucky no one who actually knows how ebay works has been interested in your listings.

7 days to pay.. But what if I put immediate payment required? And if somebody pays before I send an invoice I usually ask them to cover the additional costs which some are happy to do and some say they don't want to pay that much so I refund them. Never had a problem so far..

It's like if I were to list a PS4 at £1 and say shipping is £350 in the description.. how can you be that freakin' stupid to think you're getting a PS4 for £1? If you don't read the item description and you received nothing or not what you expected then that's your own fault! ^_^

Then they cannot wait for you to send the invoice and will pay £1 shipping...

The key word here is "so far.."

    No it is your fault.
You will be the one to end up with the bucket of shit. The other dude will get a refund and will get to leave you a negative. Ebay will flag you as a bad seller and your funds will be on hold for all your next sales. When it happens to you do not say we did not try to warn you.
