This is rarest MD game in Japan Because SANSAN、GO-NET is Net-game Tetris is unreleased game And....ANSER、bank card is not game.. SO, MAXIMUM CARNAGE is king of the jp MEGADRIVE(WWF RAW is queen of the jp MD...) I believe that only I have,in mainland China Most Chinese people think,"Good game, worthwhile to buy",so,they only like DAIKOUKAI2、yuyuhakuso、langrisser2....But,I do not like these,I only like MAXMUM CARNAGE, WWF RAW and Virtual Bart.... SEE PICTURE
American games are the rarest Mega Drive games? XD Something about that makes me crack up. Nice find, complete too .
I think for me it is not rarest MD game in Japan. If included in all product/software list then even more so.
Tetris is The rarest MD game, but it's unreleased game SANSAN、GO-NET is Net-game,is special ANSER series is not game(I do not know how to write in English,ANSER、名古屋卡、住友生命保险卡) In normal JP MD games,MAXIMUM CARNAGE is NO.1
Why would that be amusing? Virtual Bart is one of the rarer Mega Drive games in Japan due to the Simpsons having a limited audience at the time. Other American games brought to Japan had similar markets and thus are rather rare.
To me it is not rarest Japan Mega Drive game. I think Tetris is not rarest Mega Drive game SANSAN, GO-NET is not rarest special game ANSER is not rarest none game
YES,Nikkan is rare~ But It is not a game ... it requires MODEM to watch a baseball game's results
Just talking JPMD.. NPV isn't rare at all. There usually a copy for sale on Yahoo at any given time. I think Juste is being a little harsh. Tetris and Go-Net are pretty damn rare, Go-Net more so imo. In terms of 'for sale games', WWF Raw MD and 32x are probably rarer than Max Carn. Maybe Foreman too. In terms of banking carts, Anser would be the most common imo. Osaka, Nagoya, Sumitomo are rarer. Although any with manual or more is a great find imo! I think all banking carts are rarer than any for sale game. Wonder Midi is quite rare too, rarer than any for sale game. But I guess the real bad boys are Vampire Killer Gold and Silver carts. 1 and 3 units respectively I'm told. And of course Itchy and Scratchy and Warlock if you wish...I'm yet to see proof these were ever for sale so are not included in my 'for sale games' refs above, but if they were they would be second to Vampire Killer I think, so much rarer than Wonder Midi and most banking. Demo carts, I think Panorama Cotton demo is very rare. Not sure about Sega Channel stuff. There are some very rare MCDs too, Lethal Enforcers and Prize Fighter variants iirc. (All imo of course, but I think the above is relatively accurate for JPMD)
+ 1 And the Vampire Killer gold cartridge is and will be forever owned and sealed by Nakano's Mandarake showcase  Last year , i offered incredible amount for it , they just said no One other cartridge i'll never with Gold Yam-Yam OH: my biggest frustration especially that i already own Kunio-Kun with winner glass display (still kept this secret from my blog's readers)
1030$ for maximum carnage ! Damn, I remember paying 115 for mine. And I also remember wheelaa was second highest bidder (I suppose he had bid "just in case" to get a spare copy )
I am sorry I came across a little harsh, I did not mean for it. For those games I just meant not rarest, I did not mean to imply I thought they were not rare. I think it never is said, but for banking software exists second versions of them. I know Vampire Killer silver cassette is limited 1 piece (not 3), it is bronze cassette which is so. I did not know of a Panorama Cotton demo version. I think maybe I post list here (not all of it), it is from bigger list if you can remember. My list: Sega Mega Drive Gunstar Heroes Jitsuen You Sample Tetris The Itchy & Scratchy Game Warlock Dynamite Headdy Jitsuen You Sample Sumisei Home Tanmatsu Personal Banking System Mega Anser Meigin no Home Banking Service Nice-kun Mini Meigin no Home Banking Service Nice-kun Mini Nagoya Ginkou Offline Senyou J League Pro Striker 2 Jitsuen You Sample San San: Igo Tsuushin Taikyoku Network Rocket Knight Adventures Tentou You Sample Vampire Killer (Gold Cartridge) (Limited 1 piece) Oosaka Ginkou no Home Banking Service My Line Oosaka Ginkou no Home Banking Service My Line Oosaka Ginkou Offline Senyou GO-NET Panarama Cotton (Alternate Leaflet Version) Wonder MIDI: MIDI Decoder Cartridge Vampire Killer (Silver Cartridge) (Limited 1 piece) Vampire Killer (Dou Cartridge) (Limited 3 pieces) James Pond II (Royal Wedding Kinen Version) Sega Mega CD Lethal Enforcers Hatsubai Kinen Famitsu Ban (Limited 18 pieces) Popful Mail Taikenban Keiou Yuugekitai Taikenban PRIZE FIGHTER Nihongo Han Seisaku (PRIZE FIGHTER Nihongo Scenario) (Limited 3 pieces)
never heard of gold and silver vampire killer cartridges. did they come with the normal package? are these competition prices?
They are competition prizes. They just differ by being in gold/silver and there's a letter that came with them (and maybe altered software? Name of the winner in the game?). The one of a kind gold cartridge is displayed at Mandarake Galaxy in Nakano, not for sale apparently, like their gold YamYam.
By the way , If there is one game who is becoming as rare as Iron Commando as became nowadays , but on Megadrive , this is of course Eliminate Down Also , i don't agree about the fact "american games are the most rare on megadrive" but they are generally pretty expensive and no matter the console (Virtual Bart , TMNT are also expensive on Super Famicom)
