I have a Mega Drive MK1 connected through RGB to my Sharp LCD TV. Pixelwise a good picture however, I does suffer from vertical wavy lines. I've read several posts about this issue that is has something to do with the composite video being used for sync instead of the csync. I tried soldering the wire from the composite video to csync but it left me with no image. I do like to keep my consoles in original state, so modding the cable would be the first choice. What can there be done? What's the best method?

    1. Some say that the CXA1145P outputs csync on leg 10 instead of leg 11. This would mean you need to cut whatever is going to pin 7 of the AC out. And connect leg 10 of the CXA1145P to pin 7 on the AV out using a 22uF cap and a 75ohm resistor. Is this true? Isn't leg 11 connected to pin 7 so you only need to add the 220uF cap and 75ohm resistor to the cable?
    2. Clean up the composite video signal by installing a sync seperator in the cable using the LM1881?
    3. Other?

i dont remember exactly but there is also e method of removing some capacitor, or lifting a pin from cxa encoder to fix jailbar issue.

Solved it by using csync (with a 220uF cap on the scart end) instead of composite video for sync. Great picture!
