Hello everyone, I'm gutted, my Mega CD is not working and I don't know what could be wrong When I power it up, it shows the BIOS screen, but only partially: no music played or spinning logo appearing. I opened it up, after reading this thread, and checked the connector between drive and motherboard. Unplugged and plugged back in that thing (I did move last month so the unit has been in transport), and nothing. Now before I decided to play some game I was fumbling with some cables in the back of the Megadrive, and this made me accidentally disconnect the Mega CD from the Megadrive while the units were on (but not running Mega CD software, just the main menu on my Everdrive). If that's what killed it, I'll certainly want to proverbially kill myself about it. but this has happened before (it's not a great connection, that) and the unit was still working. I have not recapped the console and replacing SMD capacitors is beyond my current abilities. Any ideas? And while we're in the subject of repairs, anyone in east coast USA that would repair this kinda thing? Thanks
