Mega cd Model 1 - Curious problem

Yea like i said it was a random day they had it for half price. $60 still isn't to bad, there is a German (? Somewhere in Europe) that has them for $130 odd.

Well, I finally found the time to full recap my Japanese Mega CD1, but I have the exact same problem have in the beginning... Too bad

 

i have a mega cd motherboard with the same fault replace sanyo lc8951
ic13 that chip has died.

Replacing the 89515 didnt work out for me

 

I'd toss an educated guess that the circuit board has corrosion because of bad leaked capacitors and a trace related to the SANYO chip is broken.

 

I haven'y receive my Sanyo chip, and I think I never will...
