Mega Drive/Genesis Prototypes

Now that I have an Everdrive I wanted to play some of the many MANY prototypes out there.

I remember awhile back, maybe it was on here maybe it was elsewhere there was a treasure trove of Sonic and Streets of Rage prototypes among others, each rom dated and each rom representing different stages of development. But I can't find them and I'm sure somebody here has those prototypes. As playing these things were one of the reasons I got the Everdrive to begin with.

What I am looking for had a lot more too it than what he released. What I am looking for was like an entire development history with like 10-20 different roms per game.

Yeah a large amount are there but there's quite a bit that still isn't

 

What exactly isn't? As far as Megadrive protos go, I don't know what you can be referring to since that site has pretty much all of them that are out there. You likely have faulty memory here about this "10-20 different roms per game" release thing. That was the 2008 release as linked above. No other release of Genesis roms came even close to that. Only some games had like several different protos released, but few reached 10. Quite a lot had more than a couple, though.

I recall there being Streets of Rage 2 Prototypes and Hidden Palace didn't have those.
Plenty for 3 though.

 

there was ever only the one sor2 proto. hpz doesn't have many no-intro/scene protos yet since they plan on doing something to import them at once.

your best best is to grab a no-intro megadrive set and look through that since that should include every rom in existence, including the hpz feb 2008 release (by now i think).
