mega drive model 1 va5 no sound or audio

hello everyone,

so i decided to region mod my mega drive by following this guide http://mdpal60.net/regionmod. it was going well, had everything set up, until one of the wires came lose from one of the jumpers and touched the motherboard. Now i get no picture and a loud buzzing sound even from the headphone jack. is this repairable? or is the board done.
