Hello. Is it at all possible that with a pinout adapter, the Mega Everdrive will work on the Master System to load Master System roms? I know, maybe a stupid question but I am interested to know if it's just as simple as pinout adapter or even an OS update + pinout adapter. Or the technologies of MD and MS are just fundamentally too different for it to be possible. Cheers
I don't think it is. If it is, hopefully someone chimes in and corrects me. You'll probably be stuck with using a Master Everdrive.
I believe the menu system BIOS runs in Genesis mode and then reboots into Master System mode when a Master System ROM is selected. You'd never be able to run the menu system code on a Master System, and if you were to run a custom menu system BIOS for the cart with a pin adapter, you would have just built yourself a Master EverDrive x7 the hard way...
