Probably not. It affects even raw RGB. Thus far research is focused on model 1 where it's most noticeable, but others could have similar issues. It hasn't been ruled out. We might learn more if one person owned enough different Genesis/Megadrive redesigns and variants for extensive tests and comparison pics.

What do you mean by:"I get pixel perfect picture outside some sync issues."
Do you only just remove C28 on your mobo?
And do you had those issues before removing it?

 

I have 2 cables for my Genesis(mk 2). One is made from an original Saturn RGB scart cable(just replaced the Saturn din plug with a mini Din) and the other one is an ordinary scart cable soldered to a mini Din. Original saturn cable is working perfectly with my Panasonic plasma, however the other one is displaying those vertical lines on blue screens. I tried everything but couldn't solve it. Then I tried it on another old Sony CRT TV, there wasn't any problem.
Maybe there are incompatibilities between consoles and TVs. It's interesting!

BTW:I bought the mini din connectors from Ebay.

 

That would sound too simple and obvious to be a solution, at least on the surface, but maybe the proverbial elephant here is staring at us much closer than we think.

There's much more left to check here. CDX appears affected by these lines from my limited experience. I don't own an X'eye or Nomad at the moment to try those.

It'd probably cost less to help you buy that. Then get one from Europe, only to have to send it back there.

It shouldn't be a problem. Check up on the price range. Unless bizarre postage to your location is what's kept you from getting curious like me.

It's worth my effort and won't cost much. Jailbars are a problem too blatant to simply let slide. I'd like learn more about them, but lack the technical skill or a native RGB capable TV to investigate much further.
