Megadrive 1 jap VA6 & modchip region problem

greetings,

i meet a problem with the install, i get 50hz pal for one color and 60hz jap for both other colors, can't get 60hz english, i tested with street of rage which contain both language

here is pics of installation (sorry for the mess, it's not properly wired, first time i don't take care of that point) :

Which code are you using for your PIC? The one from Sebs's Saturn mod like MMmonkey or the one from Dforce3000?

This is the problem I guess.

With the Sebs' code, you have to use pin 9 and 12 for video/language like MMmonkey did http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/sega/md1-switchless.htm
With Dforce3000's code, you have to use pin 9 and 10 like you did. http://www.dforce3000.de/?uid=12

Ask Bad_ad84 to confirm what code he programmed into your pic.

You are taking Vcc (5v) and GND from CN9 connector's holes, check if the 5v's hole is direct connected to main 5v and it is not passing through a resistor.

 

hi unshe, i removed the resistor and made a bridge instead.

moved 10 to 12 and now i got green for english 60hz, red for english 60hz...and orange for pal 50hz, and one thing i forgot to mention, normal reset dosn't work anymore.

 

ok i switched 9 and 12, now jp1 is at 9 and jp4 at 12 and also switched led wires.

at begining i followed that tuto cause it was a va5 jap and mmmonkey did it on a pal MD

so now i get jap 60hz for green, pal 50hz for red and us 60hz for orange BUT orange reboot the console and i dont want that, cause some pal games cannot be launched at 60hz after a reboot :/

how can i switch pal 50 to orange and us 60hz to red ?

normal reset (fast push) still not working :/

 

There is something that i'm not getting...
Switching between every led color will reboot the machine. If you want to switch between 50 and 60hz (and viceversa) you have to push and hold untill the led light goes off. this will not reset the md.

but when i switch to green or red, the console don't reboot, only with orange.

yes, i modified the title, but did not take hold, it's a VA6

 

i have a usa va7 no sound on sonic 3 as for this rev would be interesting to check this out.
