    Hi everyone,
I have a Megadrive 2 Asian Pal Clone which runs at 50hz.
I would like to be able to have this system running with 50/60 eng/jp switches or if at all possible switchless mod.
As the board is different from an original I do not know how to achieve this. I am still trying to identify some of the components. If anyone knows how to do this and is willing to share then I thank you

With crude deductions I have Identified the clone chips -
    TA-06 9513 - Sega 315-5313
    TA-04 9512 - Sega 3155364
    TA-07 9512 - YM2612

So to get it running at 60hz I looked up the pinout for the Sega 315-5313 - http://console5.com/wiki/315-5313
with pin 46 for video mode pal/ntsc.
Does anyone know the chip/pin for Language selection?

I do believe I've had a similar MD2 clone years ago. There was a factory switch installed which I used to change the region.
It could be that J11, J12, J13, J14 is what you need.
I could be wrong but the PCB really looks like what I've had.

    Hello!

I have a mega drive clone pcb too, It works in 50hz.
But it have not the J11, J12, J13 and J14 jumpers.

I found only the J3 and J5 jumpers.
There is an labelin the pcb written MD-16M.

anyoneknow how do the ntsc 60Hz mod in this pcb?

    Here's the pcb images:

The master clock is a PAL oscillator, so your 60Hz picture will always be a little too bright, and won't be synced correctly with a 60Hz refresh rate.
