i see some Kanji on the cover of that manual.

and the case is the same as the Famiclone Retrocon.

I'm going to say it's either a Genesis on a chip with 20 built in games, in a retrocon case (and NOT legit)

or it's a Famiclone with 20 built in games and the Megadrive name stuck on it. but the auction says it has games, so probably a bootleg genesis.

Given the silly price it made me think it was legit and not the knock off.

Yeah, these have been around for a few months now. Same cheap old shit as always but they are officially licensed. Well, I say officially licensed but I guess that's only the built in games. the actual hardware is the same crap in all clones.

Unlike all the other video games consoles.

Exactly the same games as that portable (with screen) sold by Play-asia.

This was sold officially in the UK for a short time. The only place I ever saw it was in the Argos catalogue a few years back.

Game_squad has always been known for ridiculos prices. He buys most of the stuff I list then re-sells it for at least twice what I ask. I have sold Turbo Express NiB with car and home adaoters NiB as well for $300. He listed the exact same auction for $750 and actually got that for that price. I mean WTF, who are these buyers

Probably the same tits who use those proxy services to bid stupidly high prices on stuff over at Yahoo Auctions.

Well it is a guy from Hawaii that owns a store on Oahu. I used to go there once I lived in Hawaii. It is a gem to find great imports. Some of the best things I have ever gotten came from Hawaii. With it being probably the most multi-cultural place in the world you can find plenty of everything from all corners of the globe.

I know two people who have bought these and both say they are pretty good. They play all original MD/Genesis carts, and it is an official product. I even considered buying one to replace my bulky Model 1, doubt i'd be able to get a Mega Cd or 32 X running with it though;-).

If you only play MD games occasionally though, i'd say it's well worth the £30 (i think) that Play Asia were selling them for. Compact, plays all regions and takes original pads. Can't go wrong.

Has crap audio. Can go wrong.

I guess they are ok for the casual player but for those who are really in to the Mega Drive it's just junk.
