Hiya, I have a megadrive here which looks like one of these: Blue reset button, slide switch for power, burgundy cartslot as above. Is this a Japanese one or an Asian model? Can't find very many clear pics on the internet... The model number is MK-1631-07. Thanks, Stone
There are no Japanese only Mega Drive 2 machines as such since they look identical to each other and so does the box unlike the mark 1 Mega Drive. I own 2 MD2 machines. One says "For sale and use in Japan & Asia" on a sticker while the other says "For sale and use only in Japan" actually printed on to the box where the other machine has a sticker. Both are identical as are the boxes bar the above sticker text. Saying all that though I think yours maybe a unit that was intended for use in Asia since my Japanese one has a code of HAA-2502. I would check the code on my other Mark 2 MD but I can't find it ! Must be under the floor with my shops stock. Yakumo
