Picture of the EEPROM board is fuzzy, but it looks like an official cart. If so it's probably a review ROM. Chances are it's the same as the retail, but if the board is official (ask fora closeup of the silkscreened lettering) it's certainly a neat piece of kit. Got a link to the store description? it's the black cart with no label except a small sticker said SAMPLE... ? asked her to get one for me but I won't get my hand on till November
Not seeing a black cart in the pictures mate. If its just a standard sized black cart with a label that says "SAMPLE" it could be a retail ROM or it could be an EEPROM. If it's the green board in your piccy then it's an EEPROM. The retail ROM would be boring. The EEPROM would be cool. -hl718
the circuit board shown above is supposeldy in the cart... don't have the picture of the cart to check myself but I guess I will take my chances...
So am I correct in assuming that you already own it? If so, and it's convenient for you, I can assist you in (privately or for public release) dumping the cart in order to confirm one way or the other if it's a final binary or not.
No I don't have it though asked my cousin to buy it before it's gone... since I'll be in Japan November this year I told her don't bother to ship as I can take it back with me...
if you mean "own it" = "bought it" well yes I own it now. though I won't be able to get my greasy fingers on it till November... on the flip side I have fair number items to pick up from her comes in November inc. another Yarouze, 3DO TRY and etc. But on the other hand I know what missus will say when she sees me bring these with me off the plane...
I believe it is the same content as the retail version, unlike the gunstar heroes/dynamite headdy demo carts which differs from the retail versions
Very nice find, thx for sharing. Hopefully you can sit down and compare them, maybe there are extra or missing stages/bosses. Could this be just a few stages, or is it likely a full version used for promotion? ^_^_^
