Megakey Function "OFF"

I have a question regarding the Megakey function. I´m using a PAL Megadrive 1 with 50/60 Hz and language mod. The Megakey works in JAP 60 HZ Mode but goes off in 60 HZ US mode. Not a big deal but it's odd. It shouldn`t do that. It's reproducible on my hardware at least. I´m using firmware 13 and OS 29 by the way.

 

modded systems... if magakey is off it mean that cart did try to change region for test the function, but without success

 

I see. In other words the megakey works like it should on non-modded systems ( Sega Genesis US Version for example ) ?

Thanks for the reply. I played a round of Road Rash today and when i popped my Everdrive in it worked suddenly in US Mode for whatever reasons... It's no big deal at all, i just wanted to know. :thumbsup:

 

i have US genesis model 2, no mods at all
and megakey does not work at all
it is always OFF
i can turn region free to on, but the megakey always says OFF

also, most japanese 60hz games work, and most European 50hz games dont

i have ntsc Genesis and tv

everdrive PCB 2.4 (maybe PCB 2.5 not sure)

OS version 29

Firmware version 13
