As a fangame, but not any half baked fangame. The teaser looks promising.
I always thought Capcom killed MML3 because the 3DS wasn't doing well at the time, and I've since wondered how fucking stupid they've felt about that decision seeing how the 3DS is doing now. But then I also wondered if Capcom is capable of realizing that they're fucking stupid. And I quickly realized the answer was no. Of course, they may have just done it to get back at Inafune.
I have the distinct feeling Capcom isn't going to be around in 10 years, at least the way they are now. About the only screwup they haven't made is making their own not-working-as-soon-as-big-games-are-released DRM service (like, ya know, Origin or uDon'tPlay).
Hate to say it, but I hope you're right. And hopefully Inafune eventually gets the Mega Man IP back. Then we really would have a MML3.
Capcom should commission diehard Mega Man fans to create something fresh but loyal to the series, Sega should commission the talent at Sonic Retro to make an official Sonic game. Most of the original talent that created the IPs that built these companies up are long gone now, and the fans know more about the companies than the companies do...
