http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/31/mega-man-universe-canceled/ Well, this is kind of oldish news now, but I had a quick search and flick through this forum and didn't notice anything posted on it. Megaman Universe, a new breed of Megaman game which offered players the ability to build their own levels, is no longer in development. In one of Capcom's "Ask Capcom" segments, Christian Svensson and Seth Killian stated that Megaman Universe wasn't shaping up as they wanted it to and as a result was unfortunately canceled. http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/14525261 So yet again, Capcom cease development of a game from one of their most popular franchises. I wouldn't expect this one to surface for a long while, if at all, but as always this is another one for people to look out for.
I assume it was canned for a reason, I was pretty stoked about it but if the product was really poor it was probably for the best
Yeah for sure. I was hyped about the idea of building your own levels, I thought that was something that could really bring new life to the Megaman "universe" (no pun intended). But like you say, it probably was for the best. It did seem like the game was going in a whole new direction, what with it's art style and everything, perhaps it wouldn't have done the series justuce.
