Do memory cards like Memor32 (with memento patched) work on TESTs? Retail Ps2 reads /BEEXEC-SYSTEM/osdmain.elf or osd180.elf on boot. But my TEST (dtl-30002) does not. Is this function just not enabled on TESTs or does it need other dir/filenames? sorry for my bad english
Well, BEEXEC is only for euro models, innit? I remember US models open BUEXEC or BAEXEC and Japanese BIEXEC, if I'm not mistaken. Not sure what a TEST would do to be honest.
its /BEEXEC-SYSTEM/osd120.elf or osd130.elf it gives me a black screen on boot at least i have something to play now.
retail memory card, just playing a bit around... but it seems files need to be signed like on retail.
This would be an interesting test, I thought the memor32 patched the dvd player & test consoles don't have that.
I believe that you're correct. Additionally, debugs don't seem to recognise 3rd party memory cards above the regular 8MB ones, so it probably won't see the memor32 at all.
Yeah I'd like to know. Even if you got it to work, the TEST would not play a DVD movie as it soesn't have the software-ey stuff in it (it's not licensed apparently).... But still, I'd like to know what it does for definite as I'm only speculating.
They finally got the memor or whatever hacked. http://psx-scene.com/forums/freevast/ soo, Is there a way for Test Consoles ? There are some interesting things in the osdsys.elf (unpacked bios)....
