I recently started replaying the game "Mercenaries 2: World In Flames" and to my surprise, bugs and freezing issues on the consoles aside, the game really holds up for me and it a blast to play. Sadly Pandemic studio's is no more. I found a handful of blurbs about the game two games. and yes "Mercenaries 3: No Limits" and "Mercs Inc." seemed to have been two seperate Ip's. here's information on the shutdown of the Studio back in 2009: http://kotaku.com/5406830/confirmed-ea-closes-pandemic-studios-says-brand-will-live-on the Studios still has a twitter account that appears active. I've been trying to track down anyone associated with the game and the only name I can pull out is Cameron Brown who was the creative director for the game "Mercinatries 2: World In Flames." but that's lead me to a dead end for now as I cannot get his twitter account from LinkedIn without paying to upgrade my account. anyways I found these blubs and videos of the beta for two IP's Mercs Inc was going to be a co-op adventure designed off the Mercs 2 Zero engine from the footage found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNwRYU6xrJ8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PW7kkhjjg1Y where as Mercenaries 3 was a true blue sequel with a more single player focus much like the first two titles in the series as seen here: http://kotaku.com/5690052/your-first-and-last-look-at-mercenaries-3 I am trying to see who holds the rights to the IP now and if anything is happening with it but these links are as fresh as 2010 so sadly I don't think they will ever do anything with it. but if beta's exist might any of you know anyone who has the betas and what it might take to see a possible release? either way I'd love to know more about these games as the nets now pretty scarce for information from my research. any help or pointing me in the direction of possible people to speak to on betas would be greatly appreciated. I know this is a newer game ip but I don't think this breaks the rules but if it does then I am sorry I just love this series and I realized it's not been around for a long time now.
You should use www.teknogods.com mod to play with their server emulator with 2 players using PC (EA shutdown the real servers -_-). It's really fun on COOP.
I've been waiting for news since 2008, unfortunately I can't offer you much but nostalgia, I recommend looking at the youtube channel YorlickTLM which has some community videos and question and awnser sessions, even early mercs 2 gameplay. I'm sorry this is all it can give you. I just hope we're not forgotten. Sincerely, a huge mercs fan. (Rip pandemic)
