In two different interview, Both Rare And Kojima said how they could port their works on the " enemy's" console. Kojima talked about Metal Gear 4, on ps3, while Rare talked about Perfect Dark Zero on Revolution. http://www.joystiq.com/entry/1234000303068291/ http://www.joystiq.com/entry/1234000883068264/ This could probably tell us that: 1- We won't really see that there's one low, one medium, and one high power machine on the market, they're closer from eachothers than suposed. 2- Kojima and Rare consider the other consoles (?) 3- We must not fall in the hype. What's next? Metal Gear 4 on Revolution? Mario on Ps3?
Well Rare probably still have some ties to nintendo, since they were working with them for over 10 years. I doutb anything would ever materialise though Theres no reason that MGS 4 might not get a port one day, unless there are some damn exclusivity agreements. I mean, MGS2: substance came out on Xbox
i could care less about perfect dark 0,i just want a new timesplitters game that isnt tarnished by halo.
Rare still has active development agreements with Nintendo. There is a reason that the company has DS programmers on staff after all. -hl718
True, But I can't imagine nintendo being too happy with them developing for a nintendo console. All the while MS doesn't have their own portable, supporting the DS helps microsoft "fight" sony - If it encourages people not to buy a PSP, then they are less likely to buy a PS3 - and since nintendo don't seem to be targetting possible PS3/X360 buyers, this means its more likely to lead to a sale for microsoft. Now, did that make any sense to anyone but myself?
Rare is owned by MS, which is different than Kojima talking about putting a game on a different system. Rare will never release another big game on a system that's not built by MS. There's nothing bad about a shout out for the company you used to make some badass games for, that's all this is.
It did...but didnt MS say they were to support the Gizmondo....which is stupid actually...chances of a HALO for ds are slim though......MS probably thinks the target is way too low for consumers
there's a difference between Rare games, and exclusive Xbox games. You'll never see halo or anything other of those exclusive tittle on something not made by microsoft. Ever.
considering that microsoft is allowing you to hook up all your stuff to the xbox, even a psp, i would nto be shocked if they were willing to publish for revo, i mean by that time perfect dark will have already sold a ton of copies, and they could make extra dough.
Rare doesn't like Microsoft? Is it just me or did Rare release nothing good for the Xbox? If we look back though it seems that Rare had quite a few good releases when they were back with Nintendo... Interesting co-incidence, no?
not really. Rare has always been slow, even developing on the N64. That dinosaur planet game they were making turned into some Star fox licensed throw on for the gamecube. They seemed to take their time with Perfect Dark Zero when they were with nintendo also..
Yea, dinosaur planet turned into Starfox Adventures. Nintendo saw that the main character of the game was a fox, and figured they already had a well know fox character they could use to sell more copies of the game (Fox McCloud), so they swaped them.
rare most likley will continue putting out banjo games for the DS at some point, they already put out the leftovers for GBA that were on the shelf after they were sold.
I believe that a PDZ port may come one day. Rare CAN be unpredictable some times. Who'da thunk that Kameo would jump to three consoles before it's release? I remember playing the Gamecube version at E3 2002.
i heard of a xbox demo, but not a gamecube one, even if i knew Rare was making this tittle on game cube fist. Anyone have pictures or screenshots?
The real time tech demo and actual game I saw of Metal Gear Solid 4 really was what I'd call next gen ! far better than PC stuff. now if Konami can get his running on a 360 like the one I saw on the PS3 then that tells me that everything we've heard so far about the PS3 is probably that magical BS that we heard about the PS2 Yakumo
